The best hotel game for you depends on how you like to play. My Perfect Hotel is the most popular by far and the pick for quick time-management. Idle Hotel Empire Tycoon suits idle play. Paradise Island 2 and Hotel Story are for building a resort. And if you want a turn-based hotel management game with no ads, there is Hotel Director, which we make.
We list our own game first because we know it best, and we say so. Everything about the other games comes from their App Store listings, checked on 20 October 2026. Prices are US prices. Ratings and versions change, so check the store before you download.

1. Hotel Director: for turn-based management with no ads

Hotel Director is the only hotel game we found on the App Store that is turn-based and says it has no ads. Each turn is one week: you set the nightly rate for every hotel, staff every role, fix what breaks, and borrow to grow from a single leased hotel in outer London to a group in Mayfair. Every line of the books is modelled, from wages and business rates to mortgages and corporation tax, and three weeks in the red ends the game.
It's free, and London plays in full with no time limit. Optional purchases add six more cities, luxury hotels and a building permit, plus investor cash packs. It needs iOS 26 or later.
Choose it if you like reading a profit and loss account and want a game you can put down mid-turn. Skip it if you want fast tapping and cartoon staff. More about Hotel Director, or read what's free.
2. My Perfect Hotel: the most popular
With more than 700,000 ratings and updates every month, My Perfect Hotel is the best-known hotel game on iPhone. You start as a bellhop cleaning rooms and serving guests, then hire staff and add amenities as you open more hotels. It's free with in-app purchases, and Apple lists it as containing ads.
Choose it if you want quick, satisfying sessions and a polished game.
3. Grand Hotel Mania: time-management on the clock
Grand Hotel Mania has you run a chain of themed hotels around the world, serving guests on time and cooking for them. It's free with in-app purchases, updated this month, and Apple lists it as containing ads.
Choose it if you like the pressure of serving guests before their patience runs out.
4. Paradise Island 2: build a whole resort
Paradise Island 2 is a resort builder rather than a hotel game alone: you turn an island into a holiday destination with hotels, restaurants and attractions, from more than 300 buildings. It's free with in-app purchases, and Apple lists both ads and loot boxes.
Choose it if you want to design and decorate on a big scale.
5. Hotel Story: Resort Simulation
Hotel Story lets you design and grow a resort hotel with more than 400 upgradeable facilities and over 20 kinds of tourist. Its description says it plays offline. It's free with in-app purchases. Its last update was in November 2024.
Choose it if you want a building sim you can play without a connection.
6. Idle Hotel Empire Tycoon: for idle play
Idle Hotel Empire Tycoon grows a small hotel into a five-star resort chain while you're away, with upgrades for rooms and amenities and staff to hire. It's free with in-app purchases. It was last updated in April 2024.
Choose it if you want a game that progresses with little input.
7. Doorman Story
Doorman Story takes you from a roadside motel to a luxury hotel through a series of time-management levels, managing staff and meeting guests' requests. It's free with in-app purchases.
8. Hotel Craze
Hotel Craze is time-management with a travel theme: you serve guests and cook dishes in hotels around the world, unlocking new destinations as you go. It's free with in-app purchases.

How we chose
We searched the US App Store for hotel management, tycoon and simulator games and kept the ones with real traction, active development and genuine hotel management. We left out merge and hidden-object puzzles, kids' games, and games not updated since 2023. For each game we checked its price, in-app purchases, Apple's privacy and content labels, its rating and its last update on 20 October 2026.
