Hotel Director

Your first hotel in outer London. Every room rate, wage and loan is your call.

Hotel Director is a turn-based hotel management game. Set the nightly rate, staff every role, borrow against your buildings, and grow one modest property into the grandest hotel group in the city.

Hotel Director portfolio with cash in the bank, net worth and five hotels each showing last week's profit and occupancy
  • 7cities, London to Singapore
  • 17London districts
  • 6room tiers, budget to ultra
  • 4rival hotel groups

What you do in Hotel Director

  • Set the rate

Price below the market and you fill more rooms. Price above it and each room earns more but fewer sell. Every hotel shows its projected occupancy and revenue before you commit.

  • Staff every role

Receptionists, housekeepers, maintenance techs, concierges, chefs and heads of department. Your star rating sets how many you need, and a short-staffed five-star loses reputation fast.

  • Build it up

Add rooms, raise the star rating from two to five and move up the room tiers. Restaurants, bars, spas, pools and conference rooms each cost money and earn it back, or don't.

  • Read the numbers

Wages, supplies, energy, business rates, loan repayments and corporation tax. A hotel can show a profit and still run you out of cash, and three weeks in the red ends the game.

  • Buy across the city

Lease or buy hotels from Croydon to Mayfair on a live map of London, or, with the Building Permit, buy land and build your own. Each district has its own demand, its own rivals and its own seasons.

  • Beat the rivals

Four rival groups trade in the same market. Climb the valuation leaderboard, buy them out when they stumble, and, with the Building Permit, bid by sealed tender for the city's landmark buildings.

About Hotel Director

You start with a modest budget and pick your first hotel from the outer-London market. Everything else you build.

Hotel Director is turn-based. Every turn is one week: read the weekly report, see what changed and why, make your moves, then end the week. There are no timers and no energy bars, so take as long as you like over a decision.

Every line on the books is real. Rates and occupancy, wages and morale, supplies, energy, business rates, maintenance, mortgages and corporation tax. Transport strikes, energy crises, recessions and travel booms move demand and interest rates, and guests leave reviews that move your reputation. When you're running six hotels, hand the routine work to HR agencies, revenue managers and supplier contracts, at a price.

Grow from an independent hotelier to a Boutique Collection, a London Brand, a Prestige Group and the Iconic London Hotel Group, or, with Luxury Hotels, the Grand London Collection. London is free to play for as long as you like. New York, Paris, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Barcelona and Singapore are optional purchases, each with its own districts and its own calendar.

No ads, no tracking, no timers. London is free, and every purchase is optional.

Hotel Director FAQ

Is Hotel Director free?

Yes. Hotel Director is free to download, and London plays in full with no time limit. Optional one-time purchases add six more cities (New York, Paris, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Barcelona and Singapore), Luxury Hotels, and a Building Permit for building on your own land and bidding in tenders. The Complete Bundle includes all of them, plus any city added later. Investor packs, which add cash to a save, can be bought more than once.

Does Hotel Director have ads?

No. There are no ads of any kind, no subscriptions and no watching videos for rewards.

Is it real time or turn-based?

Turn-based. Each turn is one week, and nothing happens until you end it, so you can put the game down at any point.

Can I play Hotel Director offline?

Yes. The game plays fully offline. Purchases go through the App Store.

Which devices does it run on?

Hotel Director is for iPhone and needs iOS 26 or later.

Are the hotels and groups real?

What data does the game collect?

None. Hotel Director has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The privacy policy has the details.
