Tennis Director

One plot of land, one court, and a dream: the best tournament in the world.

Tennis Director is a turn-based tournament tycoon. You don't play the matches, you run the event: build the grounds, sign the sponsors, court the stars and get tournament week through the rain, then climb from a Community event to the Marquee.

What you do in Tennis Director

  • Build your grounds

Lay out courts on clay, grass, hard or indoor, add stands and roofs, and buy land when the plots run out. Hospitality, the fan zone, player facilities, broadcast and infrastructure each level up, and each earns its keep a different way.

  • Sign the stars

Players pick events on prize money, surface, facilities and loyalty. Watch the world rankings, pay an appearance fee to guarantee an entry, set the seeds and conduct the draw. Take out a women's licence to run a second circuit.

  • Do the deals

Sign sponsors from eight industries, sell a title sponsor the naming rights, and sell TV rights at home, across the continent and worldwide. Then price the tickets, sell memberships and season passes, and keep the partners happy.

  • Beat the weather

Rain and heat change with the climate you pick. Read the forecast, buy insurance, drain the courts or roof them, and make the call on the day when a session is in doubt.

  • Run the books

Cash, loans, payroll, maintenance and a tax bill at the end of every season. Hire a director, groundskeeper, medical team and more, and deal with the incidents that land on your desk.

  • Climb eight tiers

Community, Regional, National, Challenger, Tour 250, Tour 500, Tour 1000 and Marquee. Each one asks for more prestige, seats and courts, and pays back with a bigger purse, a stronger field and bigger draws.

About Tennis Director

You start with one plot of land, one court and $75,000, more in an easy economy and less in a hard one. Everything else you build.

Tennis Director is turn-based. A season is 48 weeks: spend each week's actions on building, deals and players, then advance the week. When tournament week comes, the calendar holds while you review the entries, set the seeds, conduct the draw and play it out round by round, then go back to the grounds with the takings.

Pick one of ten countries, from Spain to Russia, or set your own. Each sets three dials, economy, weather and popularity, and one of three climates, from hot and dry, where grass won't grow, to cool and wet, where roofs pay for themselves.

The game is free, and every tier can be reached without paying. Optional purchases add cash to a save, or unlock the Mega Stadium and the Landmark Buildings: a heritage clubhouse, a player village, a tennis museum and floodlit night sessions.

No ads, no tracking, no timers. Free to play, and every purchase is optional.

Tennis Director FAQ

Is Tennis Director free?

Yes. Tennis Director is free to download, and the whole game, from a Community event to the Marquee, plays without paying. Optional in-app purchases add in-game cash ($0.99 and $9.99 in the US) or unlock the Landmark Buildings ($2.99) and the Mega Stadium ($3.49).

Does Tennis Director have ads?

No. There are no ads of any kind, no subscriptions, no energy timers and no watching videos for rewards.

Do I play the tennis matches?

No. You run the tournament, not the players. The matches are simulated from the players' form, surface and your medical team, and you follow them round by round and in the draw.

Is it real time or turn-based?

Turn-based. Each turn is one week of a 48-week season, and nothing happens until you advance it, so you can put the game down at any point.

Can I play Tennis Director offline?

Yes. The game plays fully offline. Purchases go through the App Store.

Which devices does it run on?

Tennis Director is for iPhone and needs iOS 26 or later.

Are the players and tournaments real?

No. The countries are real places, but every player, tournament, sponsor and broadcaster in the game is invented, and the game isn't affiliated with any real tour or event.

What data does the game collect?

None. Tennis Director has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your saves stay on your phone, with up to three tournaments at a time. The privacy policy has the details.
